Recently I’ve been getting a pile of magazines sent to me with my work in them, but due to being busy I’ve not had time to post up any blogs about them (never complain about being busy). Thought I would post some up and reckoned it was best to keep it recent, so today’s blog will be about a travel piece for Metropolis magazine that is out this week (for those of you who are in Tokyo and read Metropolis anyway). The post is online at the Metropolis website here, but I prefer the print edition layout. I sometimes wonder how much longer I will be doing work that appears in magazine and newspaper spreads, sometimes I think it might just be a couple of years until no-one wants anything other than online editions, but other times I think (hope) there will always be demand for having something real in peoples hands that they can look at and feel.
Anyway, as I mentioned above, it’s a travel piece with some advice on things to do in Seoul. I submitted about double the information that was needed, so it got “edited” down a fair bit, but I was quite glad they kept in my advice about the best place to relieve yourself in Seoul (the urinals atop the N.Seoul tower at night reveals the best night view one could hope for whilst having a piss) as well as some of your run of the mill travel advice. The pics are just stock shots that were rejected by Lonely Planet, just because someone doesn’t want travel stock, doesn’t mean you can’t use it elsewhere. The shots were all from last year, I got much better night shots of Seoul this year due to much better weather, but I like the lead photo they went with of one of the markets I went to for some food one day.

Ok, i don’t know nothing about Seoul but now i know where to go & pee with the best panorama – or is it for men only ?
) Love the market scene with smokes – - – congrats !
Hugely interesting shot of the food market, and very different to our hamburger joints here in the West. I wonder if the customers go to the same table each day ?
Great travel shot.
